Today we celebrate the day that the Mexican militia defeated the French in 1862. Though some regions of Mexico celebrate this holiday, which is not Mexican Independence Day, it is most celebrated here in the United States. Of course, like St. Patrick’s Day & Guiness, I am sure there will be a boatload of people who use it as an excuse to drink too many margaritas.
